Hormone Pellets

If you suffer from fatigue, low libido, difficulty sleeping, weight gain or decreased strength you could benefit from Hormone pellets . They have been in use since 1939 and contain the identical chemical structure as your body’s natural hormones. Hormone pellet therapy is for women and men. Unlike typical oral and transdermal hormone therapy, which can produce a roller coaster of hormone levels and symptoms, hormone pellets typically provide sustained hormone levels throughout the day for up to three to six months.

What is required before pellet insertion?

A comprehensive blood in panel is collected one to two weeks prior to insertion to determine the amount of hormones you will need.

How are the pellets inserted?

During the in-office visit you will be taken into an exam room where the insertion site in cleaned and numbed. The most common site of insertion is the upper buttock. Once numb, a small incision is made for the pellets to be inserted. After the pellets are placed, the insertion site is covered with a small bandage. The total procedure normally takes less than 10 minutes.   Call our office today for more information!
